A Story for Somebody's Sake
[No matter where you find your volume of a 'Story for Somebody's Sake'. It's dark leather cover is imprinted with gold lettering and the drawings are fanciful water colors.]

VOLUME 1
PROLOGUE: The Reader and the Storyteller
The Reader didn't always understand them but she loved her parents regardless. Then the foreign soldiers came. Her parents said they were safe because the soldiers were far away. They didn't say anything about the planes.
The soldiers brought their planes from over the sea. Soon all she could see was smoke and fire. Mommy and Daddy didn't say anything after that.
After the soldiers were the doctors. The doctors were worse. The Reader was in pain all the time from the fire but the doctors didn't help. Doctors were good, her parents had told her. Yet this was a lie. These doctors were bad. They only wanted to see the Reader hurt.
They never spoke to her as a child. The Reader was just their toy to break and fix and break then fix again. This made the Reader sad. It lasted for a long time before the Reader decided she couldn't tough it out anymore. She cried in her heart. Her body hurt as if it was on fire again then she knew it.
The Reader had died. She was alone now in a strange wonderland. Sometimes she met others like herself who probably died. It was so lonely. Many years passed before the Reader decided to make a wish.
"I don't got anything to read anymore. I don't have Mommy or Daddy or any friends," the Reader said. "I want a friend."
Someone heard her wish. A girl who looked like her greeted the Reader. "I am the Storyteller," she said. "You who cried out with loneliness, you will be my Master. You love stories as much as I do. Together we will be Alice."
The Reader nodded in agreement. "Yes, we will be Alice."
So the two decided that this strange wonderland would be their home for forever.
[The story goes on explaining many charming adventures the two girls had tricking adults, making them disappear with the Nameless Forest or having Jabberwock play with them. Everything seemed fine until a 'pair of friends' called the Nice Lady and the Queen of Hearts show up.
Apparently this was someone the Storyteller couldn't defeat.]
No one could be a better friend to her than me, the Storyteller knew. We are Alice. They will just throw us away. I will send Jabberwock after them then if that doesn't work I will throw them in my Nameless Forest!
The Reader helped the Nice Lady through these games, however, much to the Storyteller's regret.
Despite the Storyteller's tricks, the Queen of Heart's eventually faced down with her. The Queen of Heart's was an expert with her sword and even with her magic the Storyteller couldn't keep up with her.
The Reader and the Storyteller were dying. "Thank you, Storyteller. Thank you, Lady. I wanted to play some more but bye-bye."
The Storyteller knew she had no reason to be sad. No mirror or story should be sad that their use is gone but she was. She was so, so, so sad. She never knew she had a heart yet it was breaking.
Even as she died she knew she needed a happy ending. It's so so so sad to have a bad ending.
CHAPTER ONE: Closetland
Eventually Storyteller saves some of the children and ask them. They tell her about the monsters, their homes, and Closetland. They talk about how people from other places are showing up. The Storyteller is upset at being left but she goes on some more exploration until she finds a 'home' in some place called the Invidia Ruins.
She tries setting up a home there but her magic isn't strong enough. The Storyteller seeks out more children. These children from Apple Court talk with her about belief. That maybe belief could make her a home and help her find the Reader.
They help her in a ritual. Yet nothing happens. They shrug it off and leave as children do. The Storyteller swears revenge and starts searching for other means of bringing back the Reader.]
CHAPTER TWO: Molly
The Storyteller's heart once more warms up to this new child as she tells her about her quest for trying to find the Reader once more. Months pass before the Professor vanishes.
Molly is heartbroken and as her friend, the Storyteller tells her to use his research to bring the mansion to Closetland. She does so but it's not enough to bring back the Reader or make a proper home for her.]
'Must everything I do end poorly? No,' said the Storyteller. 'I will write a happy ending for Alice! I don't need to believe to know that!'
That was the moment the Storyteller knew she had become the King of the Invidia Ruins.
CHAPTER THREE: Revenge and the Kings
Eventually the Apple Court Kids realize what's going on and try to stop her. She defeats some but the others end up near Molly's house. One of the other Kings, jealous that the Storyteller has a secret power and they down, try to steal it and fail. They kidnap some of the Apple Court Kids in retaliation.
The Storyteller ignores this and sends the Father to make sure that the Kings don't bother them again as she starts up her ideal plan to bring her old friend back.]

Janet's cousin, Arnold the Worrywart, comes into the library. Due to his poor eyesight Arnold couldn't tell his cousin was dead. Faking distress, Aya lures him closer until he accidentally trips. With his glasses broken Aya has an easy time of slitting his throat.
Due to Simba the Prince, Rumo the Card Game, and Chance the Pound Puppy's combined senses of smell they manage to find traces of blood on her.
Her execution of being taxidermied into a doll in front of her former friends traumatizes the group. They lock the monstrosity in Aya's room.

CHAPTER TWO: A Monkey Becomes the Leader
The Storyteller decides that she needs to die. One night while Catarina was climbing the oak tree the Storyteller sees her chance. While she turns to talk to Lillie the Runaway, the Storyteller weakens the branch with her magic.
Catarina falls on her head, breaking her neck.
Between Lillie's own confession and Oliver the Wizard's testimony it's clear that it was an accident. The Storyteller hopes that this will force the children to choose a wrong answer.
Instead, Lillie begs everyone to vote for her so they would have another chance against the Storyteller. Even as she's strangled by a strange woman jellyfish hybrid the group vows to do better next time.

Nanako dies in front of the others in the picnic area while Mikhail dies in mid-air. With Esther the Harpist on his back and Dani the Witches Bane below him, Mikhail kills both girls by accident.

Mao decides to stab whoever she sees next then use her acting skills to push off the murder on someone else. Anna Sasaki the Artist and Mike Teavee the Television Star were both easy targets. It would have been easy if Sayaka hadn't seen her.
Enraged, Sayaka attacks Mao with the intent of disarming her and bringing her back to the others. Instead Mao is stabbed. In her distress, Sayaka throws her into a festival stall where broken milk bottles finish Mao off.
Sayaka talks herself into believing that maybe this was a good thing, that Catarina would have wanted this. Kirika Kure the Mad Dog is easy to blame due to her violent past.
Eventually, though, she's forced to confess. A giant mermaid clad in armor crushes Sayaka to death with train wheels? No one is pleased.]

Oliver the Wizard tries to break it up. The Storyteller, however, trips him up and he lands in the middle of the fighting lion and wolperting. All three die from wounds occurred in the fight.
