Hello, dear residents (or former residents) of the castle. If you're alive, congratulations on making it to the survivor pool of Castle Whimsical! If you're not? You still get a hearty thank you for participating in this murder game. There will something for you posted soon.

For the survivors, though, this is also to prepare for the endgame. While ICly, the Storyteller has revealed at least part of her grand plan: to continue running the game by just rewinding everything back to the first week. Obviously, beyond it being OOCly infeasible this likely isn't something your character wants. It's time to write an ending for the Storyteller's Game.

ICly, both the final investigation/trial will take place on Friday. OOCly, this will happen on Friday and Saturday at the normal time of Noon EST. Since this is a rather relaxed game, there will be no activity requirements but your character should at least participate in both the investigation and trial. There will be plenty to investigate for everyone involved even if you don't find the figurative smoking gun. There are some mysteries left in this castle full of secrets. If you need to check in late to the final investigation in particular, let me know either via a message in the mod journal or through the discord.

To keep things orderly during the final investigation, there will be assigned groups investigating the three main areas. There will be multiple rooms in each area so each character can poke around if they want. To check in just respond to your assigned group. ICly, they don't have to be considered as a group just that your character is investigating that area and that person happens to be there, too, if that works better for your character.

As a final note, while the final mysteries of the Storyteller and her game will all be revealed not every mystery about Closetland or the other kings will be at this time. This round and every future round of Castle Whimsical will be able to stand on it's own but there will be some overarching plot elements. Thank you for this ride, players, it's been fun.
