OOC Rules
1. Be Respectful
Be respectful to your fellow players (this includes us mods, too). They're here to have fun alongside you! Harassment will not be tolerated.
2. IC=/=OOC
You aren't your character and your character isn't you. Murder games can be pretty intense so it's good to remind yourself that IC actions don't necessarily mean OOC intentions. Try to keep OOC conflict out of IC interactions. We're all on the same team here.
Remember that OOC knowledge doesn't mean IC knowledge. If you know Character A is a secret government assassin even though they're pretending to be a regular middle school student don't let that slip unless Character A told your character or until Character A's big dramatic moment at a trial. You wouldn't want your character's big secret to be revealed without your permission most likely, after all!
3. Remember to Be Active
This is a short term game so activity is important. There will be weekly check ins where you need to provide at least ten comments from your character, spread over no more than two threads. While there will be no AC for for dead characters, it's important to let us know you're still around since the graveyard will have a special role. If something comes up and you think you can't make activity for the week, let us know. If you need to leave the game early we can come up with something, too.
4. Confidentiality
Try to keep your role in the game a secret from other players! Be it a culprit or victim it's more fun for the game if secrecy is kept.
5. Spoilers
Mark spoilers for your canons when you can.
6. Conduct
Sensitive topics are going to come up in a murder game, especially one centered around younger characters murdering each other. Remember to warn if sensitive topics do come up, since backstories for characters can contain such elements. That said, discussing these topics is one thing but joking about any of these topics even if it's IC for your character is another thing entirely. These subjects include (but not limited to) abuse of any kind, self-harm, incest, and pedophilia. You'll get a warning if you do and if you do it again, then you're out of here and your character is receiving an execution.
7. Anything else?
If you have a question or a concern please contact one of us. As always, your mods are Yue (
savingdaisydiva) and Shay (
antiquating).
