That's correct. Weapons would be removed, be it a riding crop or a tiny bomb (which would be unpleasant but hey, the Queen's a giver). However, light weapons would definitely be able to be in the vending machine. A knife or a riding crop would be allowed but the bomb wouldn't be if it was powerful enough to destroy more than a wall.

As for that, I'm leaning more towards 'they know what they've lost'. For that particular example, I think I would lean more towards the first.
