Vending Machine/Regains
In a corner of the dining hall is a large vending machine. Unlike the others, this one doesn't just dispense food or drinks. Marked with a crown, there's a plaque reading My dear friends, you've given so much to me already I thought I might give you a few gifts!. It appears the Queen has presents for everyone! Of questionable quality, maybe, but still.
What is this?
Ic-ly, your character will wake up with a small pile of quarter-sized coins with a crown imprinted on them. These will be on an end table near your character's bed. When they're deposited into the vending machine they will receive an item! It could be an item they recognize, something that belongs to someone else, or some random junk the Queen thought would be useful or funny.
OOC-ly, this is your reward for playing more than just the minimum for the Activity Check! Threads used for the Activity Check will be allowed for regains. Just put your comments here and your mod will roll up some items for you about twice a week.
So, how does it work? What sort of threads can I submit?
Basically, any thread with your character and another character (the Queen and Cat count) as long as there's five comments from yours. You can submit longer threads, of course, and will receive an item for every five comments from your character.
While public threads with NPCs are allowed to be submitted, any investigation where it's just your character responding to the mod journal isn't.
So what about investigation/trial threads?
As long as it's with another character, it'll apply. Mod comments about evidence clarification, however, will not.
Do threads expire?
Nope, you can turn in a thread from the first day on the day before the final investigation.
My threading partner already turned in our thread.
That's okay, you can turn it in still.
What if it goes on longer after I turned it in?
As long as you have five more comments in, you can turn it in.
The person I was threading with died. Can I still get things?
Yes, you can! The Queen doesn't give gifts to the dead, though, so you can only turn in threads while your character is still alive.
What if I turn in my threads before my character is planned to die?
That's alright, you can say your character went to the vending machine before their death. Whether your character stashes them in their room or gives them out to other characters is up to you.
When do I get them?
OOCly, your mod will try to get rolls in on Sunday and Wednesday evenings. ICly you can say your character got them any time after the rolls have been posted.
Please don't edit your comment with extra threads. If you messed up your HTML and everything's broken I'm not going to ding you for editing but if you have more threads, please just make another comment.
Can I kill someone with these? Are these plot important?
While items gained from the machine can definitely be used in a case, they're unfortunately probably unrelated to the mysteries in the castle at large.

2. Strawberry Tarts - The Queen made some tarts on a fall's day, then she gave them all away.
3. Library Card - A brand new library card! Better write your name on it!
4. TIFFANY: A spider-legged shark creature the size of a guinea pig, made of miniature treasure that's coalesced around a glowing red stone. Has no desire to do anything but pace around and eat loose change. If it were any bigger, this would probably be something to worry about!
5. His outside cloaks: a set of eight warm winter outdoor clothes fitted for Amdi's members
6.Mr. Stripey-Pants - Mr. Stripey-Pants is an old plush cat Seven had given away to charity (A Pony Tale). He has very fond memories of Mr. Stripey-Pants from when he was an even littler monster. Seven would read medieval poetry to Mr. Stripey-Pants, vent his gripes to him, and tell him jokes. Perhaps Mr. Stripey Pants is just what he needs to keep from going mad (at least, in the first weeks...)
7. Plastic Crocodile - How doth the little crocodile improve his shining tail and pour the waters of the Nile on every golden scale!
8. Franziska's Riding Crop-Her riding crop
